Welcome! I’m glad you’re here. I’m Sean Fletcher, a professional developmental editor with over 10+ years experience editing clients ranging from first-time novelists to multi-award-winning bestsellers.

My journey in publishing began at a literary agency, where I apprenticed under an acclaimed 30+ year publishing veteran, Andrea Hurst, on how to developmentally edit clients prior to pitching to publishing houses. Since then, I still work incredibly closely with agents and editors alike. Combined with my own writing being agented for traditional publication and choosing to self-publish over thirty of my own books, I am well-versed in both worlds of publishing and keep my skills and knowledge of genre expectations and trends sharp.

As an editor, author, speaker, I’m able to bring a unique perspective to your work, whether you’re an indie author wanting to self-publish, or looking to pitch to agents and editors. As a writing teacher and workshop leader I’ve presented and spoken at dozens of major writing conferences, local chapters, organizations, and libraries, and co-written a feature article for Writer’s Digest. I’m also a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association.

On the personal writing side, I’m an award-winning and bestselling author of middle-grade, YA, and adult fantasy, with over thirty works published. Feel free to peruse all my work on my author website, or check out the sampling below.
